CHAMPIONSHIP THAIBOXING TITLE BOUT ON "RING OF COMBAT 10"

USKBA ACTION SPORTS Promoter World Champion Louis Neglia made his triumphant return to Atlantic City with "RING OF COMBAT 10", a night of Championship Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai Kickboxing all in one show. On April 14, 2006, The sold out Tropicana Showroom in Atlantic City, New Jersey, played host to this Championship Event.

Going into this event, everyone knew the rematch between SHENNEN MACEO and RAMI IBRAHIM was going to be a war. This time, they were getting into the ring to fight for the USKBA Thaiboxing Super Lightweight World Championship Title. And fight they did! Scheduled for five 3-minute rounds, this bout went the distance. Although both fighters threw an assortment of punches and kicks, it seemed that Ibrahim concentrated on kicking with punches and Maceo concentrated on punching with kicking. Don't get us wrong… both fighters were effective with their assortment of punches and kicks and this bout definitely showed some of the best fighting that Thaiboxing has to offer. A review of the judges' scorecards showed that the scoring was exactly the same for every round and, therefore, for the final tally. Round 1 went to Maceo 10-9 on all three judges' scorecards. Round 2 went to Ibrahim 10-9 on all three judges' scorecards. Round 3 went to Ibrahim 10-9 on all three judges' scorecards. Round 4 went to Maceo 10-9 on all three judges' scorecards. At the end of four rounds, this bout was even. The fifth, and final, round went to Maceo by 10-9 on all three judges' scorecards. This close bout was scored 48-47, 48-47, 48-47 in favor of the winner by unanimous decision and USKBA Thaiboxing Super Lightweight World ChampionShennen Maceo.
