FOUR NEW RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA CHAMPIONS CROWNED
An enthusiastic standing room only crowd was on hand to see the action at USKBA ACTION SPORTS Promoter World Champion Louis Neglia's "RING OF COMBAT 7" on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at RexPlex Sports Complex in New Jersey. This event featured four RING OF COMBAT/USKBA Championship Title bouts and a super undercard of professional MMA action. The bouts were USKBA ACTION SPORTS sanctioned under the auspices of the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, Larry Hazzard, Commissioner.
The first Championship Bout was for the vacant RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Super Cruiserweight Championship Title. This bout was scheduled for 3 five minute rounds and featured DANTE RIVERA (Team Renzo Gracie) going against JOSE RODRIGUEZ (Pitt's Pen). At 4:37 of Round 2, the referee stopped this bout due to unanswered strikes by Rivera on Rodriguez. The winner by TKO (Referee Stoppage) and RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Super Cruiserweight Champion… Dante Rivera.
The second Championship Bout was for the vacant RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Women's Welterweight Championship Title. This bout was scheduled for 3 five minute rounds and featured LAURA D'AUGUSTE Team TSK) doing battle against CHRISTINA JENSEN (IMAT Academy). At 4:55 of Round 1, the referee stopped this bout due to unanswered strikes by D'Auguste on Jensen. The winner by TKO (Referee Stoppage) and RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Women's Welterweight Champion… Laura D'Auguste.
The third Championship Bout was for the vacant RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Super Heavyweight Championship Title. This bout was scheduled for 3 five minute rounds and featured CARLOS MORENO (Team Endgame/BAMA) defending his title against TOM MULLER (Serra-Longo Competition Team). At 4:18 of Round 2, Moreno tapped out. The winner by submission and new RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Super Heavyweight Champion… Tom Muller.
The fourth Championship Bout was for the vacant RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Middleweight Championship Title. This bout was scheduled for 3 five minute rounds and featured KURT PELLEGRINO (Team Ricardo Almeida) going against JAY R PALMER (Ultimate Ruff Houzers). At 3:16 of Round 1, Palmer tapped out. The winner by submission and RING OF COMBAT/USKBA MMA Men's Super Middleweight Champion… Kurt Pellegrino.
